25.9.2014 Oban, Scotland

25.9.2014 A day trip to Inveraray

On my 9th day at the center I got to join the discussion group on their trip to Inveraray. It takes about one hour to drive from Oban to Inveraray. The plan was to visit the Inveraray Castle and the garden.

First thing we did in Inveraray was that we had lunch at the George Hotel, which is situated in the main street. I have eaten at the George Hotel before and I was really happy to eat there again. They have always offered good food. The atmosphere at the pub is good too. Our food was ordered in advance so it was easy for everyone to just wait for the food.

After lunch the group drove to the castle. The weather wasn't that good unfortunately, so we did not see the garden. But we did see the beautiful castle. I think most of the clients really enjoyed getting to know the castle. Lynn and Fiona knew some ghost stories from the castle and told them to the clients, but I think most of the clients didn't believe them. :) The clients had different styles of getting to know the castle, some sat down as soon as it was possible and enjoyed the paintings and so on. One client read every sign possible and got to know the castle that way.
The scenery between Oban and Inveraray is amazing, this time I missed most of it, because of the misty weather. Better luck next time!
